Recently, we’ve started to get new users on the forum who join and then create a topic that is some kind of description of an image, hoping that the forum would create an image for them.
We suspected they had been misled by reading or watching something about “AI in krita” and your comment does seem to confirm that.
They are politely told that this is not the case.
As @Michelist indicated, anybody who has the required skills can make a plugin for krita and some people have made generative AI plugins that work with krita.
These plugins have not been written by the krita developers and any topic that tries to talk about them is deleted from the forum.
Here is the relevant section of the Terms of Service of the forum:
Terms of Service - Krita Artists
- This forum does not promote or want to be associated with AI image-generating tools or plugins or any image generated with AI technology as it is today. This forum is not the place to promote or showcase AI technology. And since the legality or ethical implications of current AI technology is not yet clear we do not want to host or give space to any of the content that promotes AI use. Users are free to debate about AI in the dedicated off topic thread but when adding images generated by AI please note that we do not understand the copyright implications of those images so the post might get removed.
