For the down-arrow where you open up the selection of Blank or Duplicate, there is a small button icon next to it that indicates if Auto Fame is on or off.
Click that button to toggle on/off Auto Frame Mode.
A small ‘x’ on the icon indicates that it is off and there is a colour change depending on which theme you are using.
