Your birds are always stunning to look at. So much attention to detail! I would have given up. Its a testament to your ability as a masterful artist! Well done as always:clap:
My graphite portraits typically take 40 - 60 hours and the first couple of my Krita/digital birds were in that range but I’m trying to loosen up a bit.
Here’s the brushes I used:
“Barn Own on Faucet” - c) My Pencil-6 Quick Shade, c) My-Pencil-2, b) Airbrush Soft, c) Pencil-4 Soft, b) Basic-5 Size Opacity, a) Eraser Circle, l) Blender Blur, g) Dry Brushing, y) Texture Large Splat, y) Texture Splat
Pencil-6 Quick Shade is my absolute favorite brush… it is what I use for almost everything because it allows me to shade, build up, and blend. I use it for feathers and everything. I do use the airbrush to do most of my backgrounds and sometimes the splat brushes to add some testure/detail.
I am not here to judge you for how long you take to create one piece. Because I, myself try to do everything in one sitting between 3 - 6 hours.
I assume pencil 6 is custom brush, i looked it up in krita and I didnt find it. This specific pencil 6 brush sounds pretty good.
Pencil-6 Quick Shade is in the default Krita_4_Default resources.
Try typing “Pencil-6” in the search box at the bottom of the Brush Presets docker and make sure that the tag filter is set to All.
