Welcome to the Featured Artwork submissions thread. This is where Krita-Artists members nominate artwork to appear in the featured row. ![m6gDJyH9L1](https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/f/1/f1250cd60e457ccff1ba237841360a61cb5b2980.jpeg) ### How it works Each month, around the 15th, we’ll post a nominations thread. Krita-Artists members can make one submission in each monthly thread. This nominations thread will be open for submissions until **2024-09-11T16:00:00Z**. Everyone is welcome to vote when the poll is published. The five images receiving the most votes will be inducted into the featured artwork row. Winning images will also be entered into the Best of Krita-Artists – 2024 competition at the end of the year. ### Best of Krita-Artists – 2024 In January 2025, we will publish a post containing all the winning entries from the previous year. K-A member voting will determine the top ten and these finalists will be awarded a “Best of Krita-Artists – 2024” badge. ### How to Submit a Nomination for Monthly Featured Artwork Tag the artist using their @ name, insert a link to the full-size image and then add a link to the original post. You may want to open 2 tabs in your browser as you will need to refer to the original post twice. > **Detailed Posting Instructions (click to open)** > > 1. Open a new reply in this thread and type the @ name of the artist you are nominating. > 2. Go to the artist’s post and click on the image. When the image appears on your screen, right click and copy or save the image link (image address). > 3. Return to the nomination post and press hyperlink or ctrl+k. Paste the URL (optional title is not necessary). Once the link markdown is inserted into the post, add a single ! (exclamation mark) before the [ (the opening square bracket) of the link. It will look something like this: > `![title](url)` > 4. Return to the artist’s post and copy the URL. Paste this URL into your nomination post. > 5. Save/publish the post. ### Guidelines - Forum members may make one nomination per month. - You may not nominate your own work. - All artwork published in the Artwork:Finished Artwork category is eligible. The only exception is artwork that is already featured (look for the “featured” tag next to the post title). _The featured artwork nomination process is brought to you by Krita-Artists’ Admins and Moderators. We welcome feedback and suggestions. To submit feedback, please [click here](https://krita-artists.org/t/feedback-thread-for-the-featuring-process/54921) and add your thoughts._ ---

It’s frustrating trying to choose just one - there are always more I think are worthy of nomination. 😩 Anyway - I’m going to nominate ‘Portrait of a woman in profile’ by @Celes ![https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/3/c/3ce091e06b86d0c2861ab7cd14382e6078fc83ff.jpeg](https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/3/c/3ce091e06b86d0c2861ab7cd14382e6078fc83ff.jpeg) > [@Portrait of a woman in profile](https://krita-artists.org/t/portrait-of-a-woman-in-profile/96197/1): > > Went easy mode for my first Krita painting. My specialty, disembodied heads portraits from imagination. It’s been a ride! I love the brushes, but there’s a fair number of hiccups elsewhere in the UIX. The most severe look like bugs, so hopefully in time they’ll be gone. I actually had this shortlisted two months ago, and then intended to nominate it last month, but I was so distracted I missed the deadline. 😅 Well - I think it speaks for itself really; The fact that it’s from imagination, yet looks like a study is really impressive. The handling makes it look effortless. It’s possible I might feel a bit jealous. But I’m also hoping this might prompt her to post more art - I’m eager to see what else she can do! 😋 ---
