Maybe 5 is better or it will clash with the challenge winning image? 
With the current banner I can only see 4 3/4 images anyway without scrolling.

@raghukamath Yes, we can choose 6.
We’re going with 5 as described in this post.
@Mythmaker I hope we can come up with a solution that will give us a static banner. This one allows recent features to be bumped out by newly commented featured images.

Does that mean we vote for 6 or still 4?
We still vote for 4 but we may post the top 6 since there are 6 slots in the banner.

If you post 6, then one will be displaced when you add the challenge winner, and the challenge winner in turn is displaced after two weeks.
With 1 challenge image and 5 nominated, everyone remains for 1 month (unless displaced by the bumping mechanic).

They are already being displaced anytime someone comments on a previously featured image as the banner images are sorted by last date updated.
We’re talking about ways to prevent this over on the feedback thread for the featured process, the tagging conversation starts on this post.
