Can you change opacity of GUI or is it reachable through pythong scripting?

I know there’s canvas mode, but I find often very useful in some others apps to have GUI on screen but see through (basically an opacity slider for GUI).

Is there something like that in Krita? I can’t find settings related to it in Krita’s settings but I might be overlooking something.

If not is this even possible to achieve with python scripting (I’ve been going through some lists about it in manual and such but currently I’m unsure if that’s even reachable) or some more hacky way with some style file that could be tinkered with?

Thank you very much.
