Hi!
I am trying to use audio on my animations. I am using krita 4.2.9 installed from a snap.
I can add the audio without any error messages but when I try to listen to it I can’t hear anything…
I tried mp3 and wav and the issue is the same. The timeline even grows to encompass the length of the audio but I can hear anything…

Which Linux distribution are you using?
When you click on the small speaker icon at the top left of the Timeline docker, does it say ‘Audio playback is not supported’, directly underneath ‘Edit Audio’? If not then there has been an attempt to get audio support incorporated.
Does the audio track render out to the .mp4 output file correctly?
I haven’t tried snap packages but the (old) installation version from my Linux (Debian 10) repository does support audio and it plays ok inside krita.
(I normally use appimages which don’t support audio playback internally.)
try to enable this option
