What if someone posts an image of a character wearing a miniskirt or with large breasts (even if properly covered with a t-shirt)? Anime/manga drawings are full of characters like that (and note that I’m not talking about hentai, but other categories of this drawing style).
Anime/manga are popular among younger artists, and inevitably, a situation like this will happen…
In my country, I grew up for years in an environment of official censorship, hence my distrust of it. Many artists had their works censored. Years later, when that ended, one of them gave his testimony in a newspaper, testimony that I remember to this day. According to him, the authorities “censored what wasn’t necessary and released what they should censor.”
In fact, some films were censored for allegedly containing violent images, while other films (even animations) that contained more violent images were still released without any problem.
I’m not saying that’s necessarily how it will be here; I’m just saying all this so you understand my point of view.
I’ve read the first post and skimmed/searched the rest, so sorry if I missed something.
It seems the rules changed from the first post and untill now, during the trial time. So just so I get this right:
No nudes whatsoever (except just an arm or leg etc for a study).
I assume this goes for anything with a humanoid form (humans, elves, anthros, aliens, two-legged monsters) but not animals (animals, four-legged monsters, fantasy creatures such as pegasi or dragons etc).
Can I post a nude anatomy study if I censor genitals and female chests? Like with a strip of paint/box, rather than actually painting clothes.
Sometimes clothed figures are way more provokative than plain nudes, but I understand how difficult that is to moderate. There will always be pictures on both sides of the line that should probably fit better on the other side.
I support whatever choices you feel is necessary for the forum.
okay so, considering how the character in question is pretty much immortal, the entire thing is going to be basically presented as a joke (due to her immortality and other factors), and i intend to develop my style to be more stylized, it would probably be fine?
I don’t see how immortality has anything to do with it. If it’s gore or blood violence, it can’t be shown. The wording in the Terms of Service should be helpful to you.
When I mentioned cartoons I was thinking of something silly, like a head popping off of a cartoon character.
