There is an enclose and fill option in Clip Studio Paint. It has a gap close feature, you can look at it if you wish. thanks for the answer ---

Sure, I’ll take a look at CSP to see how it works there. Probably it should just treat a region with gaps as if it was closed. I think it would be useful and intuitive to use as well. Like I said, the main issue was the complexity of the existing tool, but I can definitely give it another shot once we settle on the current implementation. ---

Hi all! I’m very pleased to announce that the gap closing patch has been accepted to master today. As usual, big thanks to @dkazakov for the review and many others for valuable comments. We had to make some compromises and the feature is certainly not perfect, but it’s a start. I hope it will already be useful to everyone who’s been waiting for it for so long 🥲 Here are the temporary builds from master. Eventually, they will be available in Nightly builds (um, when they get restored!). - Windows - [Artifacts · windows-build (#1603482) · Jobs · Graphics / Krita · GitLab](https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/jobs/1603482/artifacts/file/krita-5.3.0-prealpha-18f01ba8.zip) - Linux - [Artifacts · linux-build (#1603481) · Jobs · Graphics / Krita · GitLab](https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/jobs/1603481/artifacts/file/_packaging/krita-5.3.0-prealpha-18f01ba829-x86_64.appimage) Again, the current features are: - gap closing up to 32 pixels - larger gaps will be ignored (check the resolution!) - only the bucket fill and magic wand selection tools are supported (i.e. no enclose and fill) - look in the UI for a “Close Gap” slider. Values larger than 0 will attempt to close gaps. I want to add here - that gap close is also now enabled in palette drag and drop ; as seen here . So its something similar to procreate - I think. Its pretty fun.
