Color profile on retina display

I’m guessing the reason you’re not getting a solution is no one has been able to reproduce your problem. Yes, many ask about colour fidelity and discover that it’s impossible to get the exact same colour everywhere due to differences in monitor calibration and browser optimizations… But I don’t think that’s the answer you’re looking for.

I haven’t done anything except download Krita for the first time onto a brand new MacBook. There’s no reason it wouldn’t happen to anyone else trying the same, and it’s certainly not a fringe case that should be ignored.

Here’s one thing you can do, @woodfur: start a brand new post asking for macOS users to comment on their colour experience with Krita and what they do to rectify any challenges.

On my my mac, the system profiles simply show up in the color management page of the settings dialog, and, as you can easily see in the source code (check plugins/color/lcms2engine/LcmsEnginePlugin.cpp · master · Graphics / Krita · GitLab), Krita looks in all the MacOS specific locations for profiles.
