Consistent Crash When Changing Hotkeys

It does seem that way and I can crash krita (appimage 5.3.2.1 on Linux) by using Shift+R or Shift+Space as a Key Combination for Rotate Mode in the Canvas Input Settings.

There are some complications:

Minor Complication:
Shift+R is the default Keyboard Shortcut to switch tool to the Rectangle Tool. That happening is a minor inconvenience it you try to use Shift+R as a Canvas Input Setting.
You can fix that by removing or changing that keyboard shortcut.

Further Complication:
Shift+R+left button is the Select Top Layer canvas action as set in the Canvas Input Settings.
That would lead to a small initial clash if Shift+R did work for Rotate Canvas.
See next paragraph …

Major Problem:
To use the Rotate Canvas action, you need mouse movement associated with a mouse button.
(For graphics tablet, stylus contact and movement automatically generates a left mouse button signal so there is no need to press any kind of ‘left button’ with a stylus.)

So, for use of Shift+R to rotate the canvas, you need it to be a Mouse Button type of action with Shift+R+left button. That works fine as long as you resolve the clash with the use of that other one in the Select Layer group, probably by changing one of them.

Overall, it is obviously a bug that Shift+R and Shift+Space cause a crash when used in an attempt to activate Rotate Mode with 5.3.2.1.
I suspect that Shift+{whatever} will do the same thing and Shift+D does that.
However, that crash bug has been fixed in the 5.3.0 ‘Plus’ build and the 5.4.0 Next build.

So, use Mouse Input: Shift+R+left button as the canvas input setting and change the one in the Select group to maybe Ctrl+R+left button.
