Dragon Cages ;)

I almost forgot about the brush, of course I really need it and will use it for the next dragon.

It’s a good brush, I almost forgot about it because I haven’t used it in a year. Instantly my drawing changed from a simple cartoon style to a semi-realistic one :kiki_shocked: :kikiexcited:.

I will continue to use the brush for future dragon drawings while experimenting with many drawing styles.

Love it! I like how you used the brush at different size for different parts and different distances and angles. The dragon on the right’s head above the eye the brush created a ridge-like effect (like where the brow bone would be) , was that intentional?

Yes, I did it on purpose after knowing how the brush works, whether it’s the direction of the brush or the size of the brush. :kiki_love:

I’m still in search of a good brush that is suitable for my line art. And it looks like I found it among the Krita_3_default_resources.bundle

The dragon that entered the dragon cage today was this spiny dragon, he flew off in search of his flock. will he find other spiny dragons?

This big chubby dragon doesn’t need a cage, it just needs exercise. :kiki_laugh:

tried many combinations, and many types of art styles. I was a little intrigued by this one and wanted to explore it more.

This dragon has been highly respected since birth, and has never dropped its crown.
I had to experiment more with the colors, it was a fun exercise.

The actual drawing time is only 2 hours but, the time it takes to let it sit and imagine it is more than 3 days. I experienced again that painting fictional things from imagination is more tiring than painting real things, this is the reason I took a break from monster drawings.

no monster art collection for this year :kiki_upside_down:

If it is like that for you, then it is like that for you, you should not feel sad about it. But if you feel sad about it, then you should paint more monsters from imagination, otherwise I don’t see how one would get such a feeling away and gone out of the brain - fighting that dragon hurting it! One should face its opponents, I believe.

I don’t feel bad about what I’ve done or what I’ve experienced, and I’m just trying to write down the little voice of the mind that never comes out and is never heard by the people around me. Thank you for the helpful words.

Drawing something fictional is a way of realizing something very idealistic in my mind, it will always exist and live in my mind even if I’m not drawing it.

A quick drawing in one sitting (1 hour and 30 minutes), refreshing my imaginary mind of weird dragons.
