Thanks for trying my bundle, and your kind comment, I’m glad you like these brushes.
Dirty Brush on Glass is one of my favorite.
I wish you all the fun possible with these brushes.
I posted this elsewhere too, but figured I’d stick it in here – my first attempts at sketching with these brushes. I really liked them!
Also, in case it’s helpful for others, I made these quick-and-dirty swatches for all the brushes. I just made these to refer to while I was playing around with them, so they’re not super detailed and I just numbered most of them instead of writing in brush names, etc. But hopefully they can still come in handy!
My only bit of real feedback for @clooms would be around the “Clooms dirty stamp” brush. This was one of my favorites at first, but after painting a bit with it I realized it leaves prominent white “speckles” over its texture. I’m not sure where those are coming from exactly, I haven’t messed with the settings yet to try to get rid of them.
Depending on the background and paint color, these speckles are either barely noticeable or extremely noticeable. I wound up having to paint over most of where I used this brush because of these – just too distracting/contrast-ey. Here’s a quick example (zoom in to see what I mean), though I can also share from one of my “real” tests too if that’s helpful:
Anyway, aside from this one small issue I’ve been loving these brushes! They’ve been great for sketching, great for painting, just generally great all around.
Thank you, @clooms!
I think I’ve left a comment here before, but I rediscovered the “dirty dry canvas brush” recently and it’s one of the most satisfying brushes I’ve ever worked with. Something about the texture feels so perfect to use.
As for @ktf ‘s issue I was able to recreate it, it’s obvious when it’s on black page + dark grey paint + low pressure. There’s something going wrong with the interplay between the brush tip and the texture. I think there might be speckles on the brush tip that are very pale, so when it gets combo’ed with the texture, it pushes it into looking like white particles rather then natural paint micro-lumps.
That’s the cutest elephant I have ever seen.
can anyone share this bundle? i try click the main link. it wont let me.
I just tested the link and it still work.
I can send it the way you want, it’s a 25 Mo file.
How do you want me te share it?
By the way, for possible future problems with downloads:
When it comes to download issues with MEGA, you can usually solve them when you change to a different browser. Only Apple’s Safari is reported NOT to work no matter which OS and platform you use, but Iron/Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox usually work, important is to set up exceptions for MEGA in your firewall, a possible antivirus, and your script and ad-blockers in your browser(s).
