Fantasy lama

I was going to just draw a “graphite” sketch but then ended up with a full color image. And it ended up with fangs… They always do. Kritas default brushes (Sketch pencils) and a reference from pexels .

Actually I started it at 4pm and was done at 8pm.. and took a nap in between. I put most effort in the top part of the face, and worked with a large-ish brush adding shadows in fur direction first, then with smaller brushes and lighter colors built up the fur texture and lights. At the end going back in a few places with a darker, small brush.
But the secret is that’s really not as detailed as it seems. It’s most visible in the neck and where the cheek turns into the neck you see the darker detailing because I got lazy. :stuck_out_tongue:

The face is the same, just shorter brush strokes and a bit more care to it.
