OK I am back with the Issue. In dolphin reseting the config file helped the dolphin, but not work on desktop or open window in Krita. Weird [Screenshot_20220121_193545]

Dolphin supports KRA file preview by default no need to add any script or thumbnailer. [Screenshot_20220121_231753] Also KDE neon is a barebones distribution meant for developers, but general public uses it too. You will be much more at home in kubuntu which includes all these things by default.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think also almost every Linux Distribution allows it to assign files to applications, and with an assigned file type the issue must be solved. Is there a right-click-menu-option that allows to do this, or in your distributions configuration-utility? I think @Grum999 has talked…

I find something weird, after I install latest Krita from Discover, and open the propertiers, and programs are selected for th Kra file, it looks like this. 3 times Krita in list. :frowning: of course reinstal again fresh KDE neon, and after that Krita [Screenshot_20220121_205617]

I would try them one by one, then delete the non-working. In my SUSE-Start-Menu in Graphics, I can do right-click on Krita and in something like “Edit application” >> for German “Anwendung bearbeiten” (I’m on a German Linux and have to guess the translation, and as said it is SUSE not Neon) one can…

On my Manjaro with normal KDE I had to configure dolphin to load previews for files bigger than 3 MB.
