G-Mic on Android?

Type of device* : Android Tablet
Brand and version of the device: Samsung Galaxy S7
System** : Android 11

* graphics tablet/display tablet/Android tablet
** Android, + version (you’ll find it in Help -> Show system information for bug reports)

Description of the issue (you can include screenshots):

I’m wondering if the Android version comes with the GMic filter… Whenever I try to use it, I get the following error message. I tried looking for the setting in Configure but cannot find anything that refers to that.

I don’t think it’s available, officially. Even the Mac builds are unofficial experiments:
G'MIC - GREYC's Magic for Image Computing: A Full-Featured Open-Source Framework for Image Processing - Download

@sh-zam may know if any brave/foolish people are hacking it.

Since that is so, how about having that G’Mic in the filter menu (for Android) removed until it’s available?

One of our developers did make gmic-qt work on Android, however the newer version seems to require internet for filters - which didn’t work well.

yeah, disabling it for now would be a right thing for the time being.

Seem like I might be able to play with gmic in Android phone some day. That was always one of my geek dreams.
