Graphic Tablets on Linux

Thank you!
I appreciate your help! Thanks for your reply.

4 didn’t lag for me, but 5 lags.

I appreciate being able to use Krita so I never mean to complain. It’s an amazing program.

Same here, Gaomon m6 seems to work but only 1/3 of its drawing area on the left can be used, did u make use of all the tablet area or just like myself, just 1/3 area? Someone told me that it was because of android mode, but i have no way to turn off that mode.

That list says that Ugee M708 is “broken, connected strokes.” I just want to say that my Ugee M708 vers.3.2.2 was recognized on my Linux Mint 20 and Krita out of the box. I installed the driver about 5 minutes later - it works perfectly, also.

I just got an xp pen Deco 01 v2. I downloaded the rpm from its web site and installed it on my fedora 35. The pressure sensitivity and tilt do not work.
Also when I make changes via the driver’s gui the changes seem not to be saved. I mean I changed a hardware button to pageup and it still just prints an i letter when pressed from the Firefox browser…
İ tried the Digimend too, but that gave me no hardware buttons, no pressure and no tilt.

Hm that sounds strange…I still use my Deco 01 v2 with just the generic USB HID driver, pressure and tilt works that way, mapping the buttons is not really possible that way though, I only applied a workaround described by Devid Revoy to map the second pen button and mute the Ctrl modifier of the buttons.

I wanted to try this one eventually, but so far it’s been a “never touch a running system” thing for me:

I was able to get the pressure and the buttons working!
The link you mentioned helped - thanks a lot!

hello cowc2

I use Ubuntu Studio on Huion Kamvas gt221 (21") and it works correctly despite not having installed any drivers. I think that if you are going to get into the world of Linux, you should first prepare to fight a bit with this system before leaving it perfect and how you like it.

My experience, without being a Linux guru, is very good.

I also have a Wacom Mobilestudio. I would like to replace windows 10 with some compatible Linux distribution but unfortunately we don’t have anything yet (I’m still testing this).

All the best!

Hola cowc2

Many thanks! What do these remappings do?

This map assigns hotkeys to the most used actions:

[Shift] b
[Ctrl] t
z y
/                   ;

e d
a y
[Home] [F12]
m [F12]

Some like ‘y’ and ‘F12’ are still duplicated, but it’s more convenient in use than standard map for me.

It is now 2022 and huion launched the linux driver last month. But currently only Ubuntu version is available: Download Drivers And User Manual - Huion

I didn’t know this, this is awesome news!
I hope it doesn’t conflict with the existing drivers, I’ll check.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi. I’m a live digital sketchnoter. I use a Huion Kamvas 24 Plus (QHD resolution) on an AMD based machine.

I flip between using Zorin and LinuxMint as my main operating systems.

Both recognise the Huion straight out of the box without having to install drivers of any kind.
