How to define the transparent color?

Hi, sorry if this question has a very obvious answer, but I’m new to krita and using digital art software in general. I did try looking through krita and looking up the answer online, but I haven’t been very successful.
I want to use the colorize mask, but I’m having trouble firguring out how to define which color should be transparent, so I can color in certain parts of drawings while keeping outside the lines blank. Any help would be appreciated.

In the Tool Options, under Key Strokes is the list of colors. If you select a color and click Transparent, that color will render as transparent.

In this example, yellow is transparent, signified by the color having a red line through it.

Thank you very much!

This worked just as I had hoped it would.
