How do I get Krita to act more like the Paid Programs I used to? Krita has all the tools but the layout is horrible and there are no tutorials for doing what I want? I mean there are way to make Gimp (another program I have trouble with) work and behave like Photo Shop?

In the keyboard shortcut settings, you can select to make them compatible with Photoshop or Paint Tool SAI but not Clip Paint Studio. Learned ‘muscle memory’ for keyboard shortcuts is a difficult thing to change, I suppose. However, you can manually customise them to your personal preferences in any…

I’ve worked with many paid software for years, and I do not consider Krita having a bad user interface. On the contrary actually, it’s really good. So it’s most likely a question of personal taste and habit.

Btw, Clip Studio Paint have the best shortcut workflow abilities. The 3 levels system brush-groups/tools is priceless thing for a “keyboard” artist like me. Unfortunately, Krita even doesn’t have a separate eraser tool.

What do you mean by separate eraser tool? Must be a misunderstanding, of course Krita has an eraser tool. It’s an arts software.

Also Krita’s eraser mode toggle is not just limited to brush tool. You can toggle the erase mode when you are in drawing tools, fill tool, gradient tool etc, which makes it even powerful. We can even erase with a pattern with has transparency etc. So Krita has erasers which are not just limited to b…

Krita has that in form of a plugin! Blender Cloud released a plugin to make selecting brush-types more like the other programs! https://twitter.com/Blender_Cloud/status/1218113238187085826 Quote from the Blender site: A core part of Vivien’s workflow consists of using the “paint”, “erase” and “s…

Actually I’m happy Krita doesn’t act like Photoshop which has an horrible layout.

This is wonderful, I think this can be posted as new topic in our resources section. Also I’ll see if i get time to add it to our list of plugins in manual

Like you say that you want it to be more like Clip Studio but you don’t say what you want it to actually do dude. [image] IAmACat: How do I get Krita to act more like the Paid Programs I used to? Krita is not a FREE CLONE of Clip or any another program… I feel like if you buy a license of wh…
