So, I’m trying to add color to a grayscale image and I was planning on using the color blending mode to do that. However, when I go to select that blending mode, I can’t. there’s a little chatbubble looking icon with a warning sign in it. It’s the same with the luminosity and saturation blending mode. Why is it doing that?

You are probably in the Grayscale/Alpha colourspace.

Go to Image/Convert Image Colourspace and select RGB/Alpha for example.

Ah, thank you, that was it! I wasn’t in grayscale, I was in CMYK cuz i did plan on eventually printing it, but yeah, it worked. Thanks, guy.

I can’t figure out how to create my own separate question on this website, so I figured I’d try it this way. Is it possible to make a fill pattern in a background with the gradient mixture that you want? If so, how can you do it?

This way is not a good way.
If you’re logged in and you go to the main page: [https://krita-artists.org/](https://krita-artists.org/) ,
there’s a ‘+ New Topic’ button a bit lower down from the top right corner.
In there you can select a category and create your text for posting.
