I think you are better off creating a new feature request. Anyway do note that a feature request wouldn’t mean it be granted - it just hopefully someone who can code and interested will pick it up.
Structure your request this way:
What are you requesting?
Examples of usage, where do you use it, benefits.
if there is some resource that can be reference like the site you link earlier.
Does this exist in other similar software as native? [CSP/PS/GIMP/etc]
Cite how they are used or implemented as a baseline.
