Hey there,
I am having an issue with the eyedropper tool. When I select the region with the color I want, the correct color appears in the Advanced Color Selector section. However, when I try to use the brush tool, the wrong color shows up on my drawing. The color on my canvas looks to be shades lighter than the color I want and I am having difficulty finding a match manually. I have tried different brushes and toggling around with some settings and nothing has worked. I am newer to this program and a bit lost, so all ideas and suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!
If the correct colour appears in the Advanced Colour Selector then it doesn’t sound like a problem with the eyedropper tool.
Which brush are you using and which colour model, depth and profile are you using?
If you use the Specific Colour Selector and set a particular RGB value then paint with it, pick it up with the eyedropper and paint again, what happens?
Is your layer opacity 100%? Is your brush opacity 100%?
There’s a number of possible reasons, often it helps to identify the problem if you just post a screenshot of the entire krita window.
To me it sounds more like the current layer having a blending mode other than “Normal”, or its opacity is not 100%.
I actually had that a few days ago, it could be a bug. Can you reliably reproduce it?
Well, the issue was with the opacity. Instead of being set to 100%, it was at 83%. Typically, this doesn’t cause a problem for me, but I am new to this. This probably seems like a stupid question, haha. Thanks so much for the help!
