@KeriVKennedy @steve.improvthis @sooz I never want to be a resentment to this group. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. This forum is one of the rare places online where everyone gets along and has a good time learning and helping. I look forward to seeing everyone’s work and happy to help where I can. Again, thank you for making a 70 something old artist smile.

Hey there!
My country is currently in the middle of a nasty heat wave that will last the entire upcomming week, and unfortunately my desktop computer is in a room directly below the roof that becomes an oven for the major part of the day… I have to take refuge downstairs where it’s 5°C cooler. And no, I can’t easily move my setup, sadly. So it is difficult to find opportunities to draw, that has to be either at night or in the early morning. All that to say, I hope I can finish in time…
Anyway, here’s the sketch of what I started to work on, as you can see I’ve been convinced by the giraffe in the introductory example, except I put it in an even more unexpected setting!
I also wanted to go for something cute, for a change!

@CatMonk Thank you. I’ve had many years of practice. I discovered digital art in 2021 and love the creative freedom it gives.

@Corentin Florida is also under the broiler. Thankfully, my window AC in my little shop is still working. Hope you are able to finish it. Giraffe in the Arctic! That’s as crazy as my goat one is gonna be!

Starting to capture that surreal feeling… just a bit more work to do on the clouds and other details. Hopefully I can finish it up in time. Painting is getting some serious competition for my time from the pool these days!

I have started something but I will not have the time to finish it. This should be a submarine jumping out of the bath tub

Where can I find the poll now please?
It will appear in June 2026 Art Challenge – Something Unexpected. It takes some time. You will see it in the bottom of the thread and you will be able to vote for three of the works.
