Just wanted to let you know that we are going to make a release of 4.4.7 purely for the sake of fixing this regression bug 
It will happen this or the next week.
There is already a 4.4.7. build number 97 compiled on July 28 (and it runs well) 
and for the build 98 from August 3 you initiated NO changes are shown? 
At least the builds differ in their scope.

Build 97 was a testing one, it didn’t have any python support You need to use Build 98, dated by 03.08.2021. It should be fully functional.

things never happen as they should, so I wasn’t able to test the build @dkazakov kindly provided. As far as I understand this has been fixed now ?
@raghukamath I saw your comment about the “initial stroke stutter”. I also experience this, so I am glad it is known about (and worked on, if I’m reading right).
Let me know if I can do something to help, I have a couple “free” days.

The bug should be fixed now and the fix is released in Krita 4.4.7.
