M1 MacBook- ffmpeg developer cannot be verified

Hi,
I made a quick animation and went to render it said that “ffmpeg” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

-I’m using a MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
-Downloaded the latest Krita (4.4.8)
-I’m not sure if I’m using the right FFMpeg but I gotten it from static FFmpeg binaries for macOS 64-bit
I downloaded the one called ffmpeg-104627-g40cf317d09.7z

Can someone help me solve this problem?

The one you downloaded is the ‘current snapshot’ build and may not have been signed.

I suggest that you try the release build:
https://evermeet.cx/ffmpeg/ffmpeg-4.4.1.7z

If that has signing problems, there are methods of persuading macOS to ignore the lack of signing in executables.
Someone with more Mac knowledge than I have may be able to give advice about that.

Otherwise, you could contact the Evermeet people for advice.

Hi,
I downloaded the one you have sent me but as I went to render the animation the same “ffmpeg” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. popped up again. Can you direct me to someone that knows how to make the mac ignore the developer verification?

I’ve changed the title of your topic to attract the attention of people who know about this subject area.
