This was something extra. Design, composition and the use of color and values. It rocks! I don’t know if swearing gets people kicked of the forum but i don’t care, DAMN!!!

Love this one. It’s striking. At first I thought it was done with hard brush, but upon closer inspection, it looks like you used a soft edged brush for all of it. Airbrush?

Hi @Bobrowsdower!
I only get paid for pet portraits now since retiring. I donate part of each portrait fee to my local pet rescue group, Sadie’s Heart Animal Rescue. I keep my fees very low to generate more for the rescue. It feels rewarding.
The custom airbrushing automotive paint business was good money, but very hard work if you don’t have reliable employees doing the grunt work for you. I retired from automotive graphics 8 yrs ago.
Now, I’m really enjoying painting whatever I want, whenever I want. I can’t seem to sell any of my own art though. :laughing:

I know what u mean. I’m always getting requests for artwork but haven’t been offered money yet and I’m too socially awkward to ask for commissions. That’s why I just draw as a hobby. Congrats on retirement btw.:+1:
