Monthly Art Challenge – October 2023 – Halloween / Autumn

I voted. However, if the total number of votes could be shown, that’d be better. Since I feel like my vote may have been lost in deep space like this, not being definitely sure that it counted.

When you add in your vote, the total number of voters is shown besides the poll. and you can check if it increments the number when you vote.

Yes. It’s there. Somehow I didn’t see it. Since it was in the middle of the contestants’ pictures somewhere and there are many entries. Anyway, I’ll check it out each time I vote from now on.

@sooz described in this post ↓ how to determine if your vote was accepted, you can see that you have voted if the button to remove your vote is existent. No button to revoke = no vote cast!

Yes, the remove vote button is like the proof of a confirmed vote but still I wanted to see my added vote to the sum (anyway, a sum exists but not at the bottom or top but in the middle, so that just didn’t meet my eye).

Scale down the size of the page, at 10% size I can see the votes, depending on your display you may need magnification to see it.

Congratulations, @lehko, you won!

I will create a badge for you that you can activate from inside your profile.

2 things, please:

  • Create a new post in Artwork:Finished Artwork so I can feature your winning piece.

  • Reply to this post with a theme for the November challenge. If you like, you can also include a challenge with the theme (for example, use a certain tool) but that is optional. It’s up to you.

Holy cow ! Thanks everyone, the entries we’ve had this month have been amazing. Despite the lazy post-processing I made (now after a few days it’s tearing my eyes out!) I’m proud to have won this contest

As for the next topic, it’s hard to come up with one, but since I’m stuck in the countryside with a makeshift computer I made from various old parts and internet access that’s haphazard at best, this inspires a theme:
SolarPunk!
(hoping this hasn’t already been proposed, I haven’t checked…)

I’ll leave you with the definition on wikipedia: Solarpunk - Wikipedia
Keep in mind that this is a relatively recent movement in science fiction, so anything is possible, from a small scenery to a complete environment. Have fun : )

This is the first time I’ve read anything about solarpunk, and it sounds interesting. :kiki_star_stuck:

Congrats @lehko (et salut, congénère francophone! Je viens de le remarquer!)
Argh! I’m not really into painting science-fiction in general! :sob: But I think I’ve got something in the theme. Another fan-art… Hopefully this could encompass things that were made before the name “SolarPunk” was invented.
