Sooo… androids riding robot horses don’t count as sci-fi?! 😜

I can think of a few other examples that you would have seen, but I don’t do sci-fi very often so I understand why you might think that. 👍

I still haven’t started my piece for this yet - I think I need to reach optimal panic first… 🙃

LOL I’m the same… Not really into drawing sci-fi. At least I have started a sketch today! Woooh! 🎉 🎊 ✨
But generally speaking it seems like this month’s theme didn’t inspire so many people compared to the previous months. Unless they will all be last minute entries? 😆

I thought it was an interesting-sounding topic, but I had a hard time coming up with ideas. A few days ago I wrote down some ideas and roughly put them down on the canvas;

 ![solarpunk-thing_small](https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/7/9/796fabc8c14476b672c948b76460bc48dad273bb.jpeg)
Some kind of weird modern sustainable-type building with solar panels and lots of glass, a wildflower garden (as opposed to some high-maintenance one), a rain barrel (aka a unidentifiable cylinder), a bicycle (as opposed to a car), a simple tool like a rake (as opposed to a leaf blower).
Basically, I wanted to focus on the optimistic and present/near future side of it. And I guess gardening was the only thing I could think of?
For the rough idea of the flowers, I used the ‘inkT 16 Texture Leafs Details’ brush, modified to add some texture and hue variation.

Anyway, I didn’t really interpret it in a sci-fi way at all. It seemed like a pretty broad topic where you could take it in a lot of directions, so I’m curious what other directions people will take it in.

One week before the deadline :kiki_upside_down:
I was trying to find ideas for my third entry. I probably won’t focus on buildings or environments like my first and second entries. Maybe it will focus on vehicles, or the relationship between humans and robots? or robots and animals? I will open this sketch again tomorrow, maybe a new inspiration will appear. 🌠 🌃 ✨

that’s what i mean… i only get a snippet of what you do with sci fi… you don’t do a whole lot of it.

continuing yesterday’s sketch, and another idea suddenly came to me after seeing on the local news that there was a solar power plant covering a large dam that was still under construction. And I wanted to draw it.
