Last night I saved something that I had been working on for sometime and I saved it as a Krita file (Kra) as I normally do. I opened it up today and this came up? Any help would be appreciated!
Maybe the file got corrupted. That’s why it’s a good idea to use ‘save as’ or make incremental copies from time to time.
Search for a backup .kra~ file in the same folder, change the name to .kra and try to open it.
Hope it works, as there may not be too many other ways to fix it.
Yes, there are options, depending how bad the situation is. See https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html?highlight=zip%20repair#how-to-recover-my-files . Note that Krita 4.2.9 and 4.3.0-beta1 work really, really hard to prevent file corruption, and even if you turn of your computer while Krita is still saving, this just should not be possible.
