You’re not wrong, you can’t tab-stack floating dockers
I was told, a long time ago, that it would be very difficult.
I assume it’s because of the need for a dockable panel area outside the main window to accomplish that.
Edit:Add: By careful adjustment of the main window onto the second monitor, you can have a ‘useable’ arrangement of multiple column tabbed dockers.
Getting it set up is tricky though:
I appreciate your response, Ahab but I have too many floating dockers now.
I guess I will submit a thread to feature requests. This is really quite a UI handicap for second monitors. I do not wish to sound like a prima donna, but when my living is made with graphics software I want to feel that first and foremost I can comfortably arrange my environment and tackle the task. Although Krita is becoming my favorite tool this is my only painting/graphics software missing this widespread function. I have anxiety when I am reminded that I cannot layout the software comfortably or as I wish without being cramped or crowded. I love the reference tool btw! Bravo! I have been hoping this would be something that perhaps would get solved but since it is not yet possible I figured it was time to speak up.
I think this would be a GREAT feature, (seriously I would up my monthly contribution for this! Well maybe this and Content-Aware fill ~ then I would ditch Adobe for good.)
