If you need the space so urgently, why not go another way?
You can also use plugins like @slightlyangrydodo’s Krita Redesign together with KanvasBuddy, initially developed by @Kapyia and held usable with the patched version by @Halcyoen, or better go for the much more advanced new Touchify from @CarWalTech, which includes the aforementioned plugins, to gain space on the canvas. And Touchify in particular is absolutely amazing once you have understood how to use it.
Unfortunately, there is no good description for Touchify yet.
But combine that with @wojtryb’s Shortcut Composer and you have a powerful yet streamlined user interface.
The version of KanvasBuddy patched by @Halcyoen or Touchify instead both allow you to call any Docker. Redesign and Touchify both bring Toolbox and Tool Options Docker to the canvas, can be shown and hidden, but Touchify can do even more, is more freely configurable and has an active developer who also responds to requests, provided they can be implemented and fit into the concept, can be integrated.
