Samurai study

I spent 4 hours on this painting. Surprisingly, it turned out a bit better than I expected. I am not that confident at painting in colour, but this one seems fine. I would be glad to know what you think!

I really like this portrait. Just the fact that you created it in only 4 hours is a fantastic achievement. It’s nice to see how you achieved depth via color choice and light placement, the details, such as the few hairs sticking out, give the samurai, who seems to be fixing something with his eyes, liveliness despite the still pose! Thank you for letting me see this!

If someone asked me to create such a picture today, they would have to lock me in my room for the next 4 months - and what would come out of it might be uncertain :wink:
