Type of device\* : desktop and tablet (xp-pen deco v.2) Brand and version of the device: System\*\* : \* graphics tablet/display tablet/2-in-1 laptop/Android tablet \*\* Windows/Linux/Mac/Android, + version (you’ll find it in `Help -> Show system information for bug reports`) * * * Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): whenever i use the selection tool twice it crashes this happens with 2 diffrent tablets and 2 diffrent desktops, is there anything i can do? ---

Hello and welcome to the forum 🙂 Which version number of krita are you using and which operating system are you using? Is that what you mean by two different desktops? Does this happen if you use a mouse instead of the tablet? Which selection tool are you using? Please upload a full screen screenshot (.png) taken just before you’re about to make the two selections and make sure that the Tool Options docker is fully visible. What exactly do you do with the selection tool? If you’re using Windows, go to: C:\Users\{your username}\AppData\Local and look for a file called ‘kritacrash.log’. Then make that file available via a link to a file sharing service. It can be very long so it’s not suitable for posting in a reply here. ---

Sorry should’ve been more specific I ment that krita on one desktop and tablet had this problem so i switched to a different desktop and tablet and had the same issue Nope not the first time using krita but i just dealt with it and didn’t use the selection tool Yes it also happens with a mouse this is the selection tool im using ![faq](https://krita-artists.org/uploads/default/original/3X/3/3/3351caa3920f7a5438de92c59a03bef15fed16b4.png) sorry but i cant find AppData tried searching for kritacrash.log without opening AppData still nothin ---

So, you’re definitely using krita version 4.4.7. If you’re using Windows 10 then the AppData folder and the Local folder inside it will be where I said they are, in their usual place. The last screenshot does not show the selection tool being used and does not show the Tool options docker. You haven’t explained exactly what you do with the selection tool. I’ve tried using the selection tool with version 4.4.7 to make two sucessive selections, in various ways with various modes and options, and I can’t make it crash. ---

My hands are aching from squeezing blood out of the stone and I still can’t make 4.4.7 crash on Windows 10. Somebody else may have better luck with this situation. ---

If you can’t find the folder / path “…\AppData\Roaming\…” or “…\AppData\Local\…” in your user folder (C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\…), then you probably haven’t activated the by default deactivated view of hidden files and folders in the Explorer. For that, you need to start Windows Explorer and then follow the steps described in the screenshot, or get instructions on how to do that using Google or another web search provider.
