Hello, Developers,
There is a shortcut key conflict between Krita and the China-developed desktop version of WeChat, which causes shortcut key crashes. When WeChat logs in, it automatically triggers a virtual F22 key press that remains active. Currently, the only workaround is to use a keyboard reset tool, such as the Quicker tool “Reset Keyboard Status,” which releases all virtual keys with one click, or Yetanotherkeydisplayer tool, which can directly release all virtual keys.
I hope the development team can address this shortcut key conflict. Thank you very much for your support.
Why don’t you change the keyboard shortcut by yourself. I mean preferences-> configure krita → Keyboard shortcuts. You can look for “F2” and change it there.
I think wechat is the problem here. Not krita.
That is a known issue of a few Chinese chat apps, and it has to be fixed in these apps. To be clear, it arose with these apps and their release.

yes, it is
Yes, WeChat is known to cause some issues with other software, for example it sometimes keeps inserting new layers into Krita.
However there is nothing Krita can do about it. It doesn’t bind system wide shortcuts. WeChat is interfering with other software and it’s WeChat’s job to fix this because there’s not much other programs can do to prevent the interference by other programs. It’s basically a malware, and a badly written one too, if it can’t do it’s job undetected. WeChat should not send any key-presses in the first place.
I know it is inconvenient for the users of Krita and these apps, but the developers of Krita cannot embed a Krita foreign application like “Reset Keyboard Status” or “Yetanotherkeydisplayer Tool” into Krita because of WeChat and Co to “cure” the bugs of these poorly programmed chat apps, and it is always only a temporary cure. That would be insane.
