Happy to take part in this contest. Motivation booster :). Mostly the colors, mood and style is heavily inspired by Atey Ghailan which is one of my favorite artists ever. Also a little bit by Studio Ghibli.
I didn’t use any fancy painting techniques, these are mostly my own (pixel) brushes. After trying different styles with impasto look etc. I fell back to the regular stuff, I just like this simple look and I have a bit more experience with it so for the challenge I thought I’d stick with the basics :).
The mascots are my own interpretation for the purpose of this particular entry.
