I guess it is somewhat connected to the survey on UI/UX development for Krita’s mobile platform, earlier this year:
Also, although not visible in the forum, our former developer for Android, @sh-zam, was seen a few times in the “developer communication channels¹” recently, discussing stuff. So, there seems to be something going on under the hood - but don’t ask me what that might be.
