Sunless' Sketches

Try the pen symbol right of your heading, not the one below the posts.
If that not works, then tell me which you want. I’ll change it later, I’m away for about 2 hours.

You’re all good, I should’ve said in my prior comment that there is no pen symbol next to the heading, which is why I was confused truthfully. I’d rather not bother you to change it, it’s fine if I can’t. It’s just odd that the icon is gone.

It’s not a problem to change it for you, the time until you can do it yourself is not far away if you keep participating here, so it’s not something we have to do for you forever, and so it’s not a problem to do it on demand.

Aww, it’s so cute! Although I kind of feel like I want to DNF it in exchange for the charming flycatcher as my PFP;)

More eagle. This time I experimented with using a grey scale filter for my screen and having a palette that was just randomly picked from a tetradic harmony. This is the result, the green is very hard on the eyes, fortunately this is what it looked like for me:

Today’s Aaron Blaise lesson was a bit involved, but I’m quite happy with the result.

Started a new course alongside the birds of prey one from Aaron Blaise, the wolves, foxes and coyotes. So here’s what’s come of it from the last couple days. Also some more little birds I’ve drawn to wind down.

practising from imagination, liked how the eagle came out in 10 minutes but thought it’d be funny to put an out of focus non descript bird in the foreground. Also, foot for anatomy :))

Would you like me to recommend some anatomy-challenging birds?

I found it difficult to draw creatures too until I started working them into my gesture drawing practice. I haven’t gotten to your level but they are getting easier to draw/represent with basic shapes.

Please do. Been a bit busy as I’m preparing for a trip overseas, but when I get a quiet moment I’ll be sure to give whatever you got to throw at me a try

That’s awesome, I personally struggle with gesture drawing in general and have been working on it. Something about getting the energy of an animal/person is very difficult for me. I’m very rigid with my lines and shapes I feel
