I have developed a plugin that takes a list of text strings and automatically places them as individual Krita layers.

You define an amount of rows and columns, start x, start y, padding, etc. and the strings are layed out as a grid.

I needed it to create printable card sheets for gameboard prototypes, labels for a friend’s paintings exhibition, etc.

It works for me but it’s not very user friendly yet.

I feel like I should improve some features before I consider sharing it.

What do you guys think? I’m relatively new to Krita.

Should I just publish an “alpha” version (read: unstable and not super clear) and ask for feedback? Or is the community a bit more demanding when it comes to plugins?

Hello and welcome.
Is that plugin something like DataMerge?
Is it the type that combines CSV data and templates?
That’s what I imagined.

But a screenshot would make it easier for everyone to understand what you’re creating.
Many people publish their plugins on GitHub.
I think everyone initially publishes a working version.
For example v0.1 beta…and aim for v1.0 as the finished product.

Good luck!
