Great painting. A cinematic story in a single picture. Superb shadow color tones on the bottom side of that big, twisted branch, subtly illuminated by the reflective light from the water beneath. Fantastic. I love those hairy brush strokes; they look so vital and dynamic, suitable to that windy waterfall mood. I’m generally not a fan of digital blur (digital motion blur or digital depth of field blur). I think it would make the painting even more impressive if those blurred leaves in the foreground were blurred by manual brushwork rather than by automatic filters which look rather sterile to me, especially in contrast to the wild, expressive main part of the work. But that’s just a matter of taste, probably. The colors, the composition, the perspective, the brushwork and all these ideas are really brilliant, in my opinion. Cheerio!
