Tip for Linux Wacom users to reduce cursor lag

Have you checked dmesg output? If for some reason the tablet were disconnecting and reconnecting periodically, you would get that.

Interesting idea! I’ll have to check that when I get home.

The touch feature certainly isn’t perfect but I have found it very useful and am happy I paid a little more for it (about $100 difference). I am currently using Mint and can turn it on/off with the cintiq button (though I do have to keep a short cut on the screen for re-setting the wacom’s connection to the computer every so often… I think this is because I have a very old GPU). In Krita, there is an option (in preferences, I think) to disable touch input from drawing on the canvas which is very nice! A nice drawing glove helps a lot, blocking out unwanted touch input (or, in my case, two cheaper drawing gloves stacked over top of each other). Also, the type of fabric between you and the monitor matters: I have a nice, %100 wool, long sleeve, tight knitted sweater that blocks all touch input - where as any synthetic and synthetic mix shirt/sweater I own just lets the cintiq’s sensors pick up my whole arm  I think my %100 cotton one works, too - you might want to test out any 100% natural fabrics you have and see if one helps! Also, touch support can been sensitive to the environment - over here, it’s usually cold and dry which works pretty well for it. I’m sure moisture level of skin/lotion has some effect, too.

Hope all that text helps somebody - good luck!

Now, if only I knew how to get my Waco 3D pen to work in Mint…
