In some posts on the Krita Artists forum, such as **[this one](https://krita-artists.org/t/how-to-draw-outside-the-canvas-and-see-the-line-outside-of-it/116226/2)** and **[this one,](https://krita-artists.org/t/tile-grid-a-plugin-for-creating-customizable-guide-layouts-for-storyboards-tilesets-and-more/112389/3)** I mentioned a **different** layer that I use, which I call _MASK._ Basically, I create this layer to extend the final cropping area of my image, without losing sight of these limits at any time and without them getting in the way of my work. And, at the end of the process, this same layer makes it easier for me to crop the image to the final size!

It is a very **easy** layer to create and does **not** require any additional resources outside of Krita itself, and can be run on older versions without difficulty. Here is an example of the usage process and the final image:

I made a _pdf_ tutorial, in two versions, choose the one you prefer: **[english](https://www.mediafire.com/file/cioii42lkrykjqv/bleed_tutorial_krita_ENG.pdf/file)** / **[português brasileiro.](https://www.mediafire.com/file/5nyli7e8nehv830/tutorial_sangria_krita_PTBR.pdf/file)**

**• Note:** On _page five_ of the tutorial I mentioned a _previous_ tutorial of mine, if you want to see this one, it’s **[this one.](https://krita-artists.org/t/tutorial-how-i-sketch-in-krita/100123)**
