Could you please test the nightly build if it also has this issue?

Our nightly builds have one fix that might be related to this issue, which is missing from 5.2.x. We didn’t backport it in the fear of more regressions 
UPD:
If it doesn’t help, please try the following:
- Open terminal with cmd.exe
- Type:
set QT_QPA_PLATFORM=windows - Type full path to krita.exe to run Krita from this very terminal
This variable should disable custom handling of the AltGr key that we added in Krita 5.2.
UPD2:
If nothing of that helps please explain better what exactly you do to trigger that bug. I cannot reproduce it here.

Btw, what keyboard layout you use? EN-US or something else?
