We already have a broad content standard policy in our terms of service which among others includes following points:
- You may not submit content to the forum that is illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful to others. This includes content that is harassing, inappropriate, or abusive.
- You may not submit content to the forum that violates the law, infringes anyone’s intellectual property rights, violates anyone’s privacy, or breaches agreements you have with others. If it is brought to Krita Artists administrators’ notice that you have infringed on any intellectual property rights of others we may remove the content. if you think that your content is wrongly removed you can contact us at email@example.com.
But lately we have observed that the content shared include traced or recreated drawings and designs of other artists, these are often exact duplicates or just traced artworks and there is no credit given to the original artist. It is okay to draw a character from your favorite movie or franchise and share it here provided the company that owns the franchise allows it.
While sharing studies or paintings which are copied from other artists it is mandatory to give proper credit to original artwork at the bottom of the post.
To avoid further complications to the functioning of this forum, we will delete any post (by giving a prior warning to the user) which is just a trace of original artwork or which seems to be infringing upon intellectual properties of others. If the user repeatedly posts such artworks despite warning then we will delete the user’s account.
