If your drawing is just a black and white drawing, you can:

  1. Select your layer, do Select opaque
  2. In menu Select > Convert to vector selection
  3. Create a vector layer
  4. In menu Select > Convert to shape

If you have many colors or complex painting to convert, use Inkscape
