I too worked on some really big files without issues but they where always 8 bit integer per channel not 32 bit float, which is quite a difference.

Looks a lot like traditional watercolor.
Another problem with large images is: advertising often asks for illustrations with separate layers. If there are too many ‘elements’ composing the illustration, it makes the file bigger and bigger.
So we must also take into account the changes, because each of these elements has many more layers.
(Of course this will all be in the budget)
