# When I use hotkey, brush will stop move

Type of device: Graphics Tablet  
Brand and version of the device: Gaomon M8  
System: Windows11 23H2  
Krita :Steam version 5.2.2

**There are two problems:**  
1.When I use hotkey, such as ctrl, brush will stop move and appear in the place I last use mouse.  
2.[Pen won’t work outside of canvas](https://krita-artists.org/t/pen-wont-work-outside-of-canvas/93576)

**I try to solve the issue.**

1. close Canvas Graphics Acceleration
2. change the Preferred Renderer
3. restarting my computer
4. reinstall Krita through steam
5. updating my drivers of my table
6. open/close Windowslnk or mouse mode

Actually, it has one way to solve the issue, don’t use the steam version.  
When I use Krita download by [Krita | Digital Painting. Creative Freedom.](https://krita.org/en/)  
All problems disappear. But I want to record my drawing time.  
I would appreciate it if you had any advice

Have you tried to give your Krita on Steam the full permissions of your user-account?  
You have to do it with admin-rights and the folders you have to give the full permissions of the user-account you use when logging in to Windows are:  
`c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Krita\`  
&  
`%LOCALAPPDATA%\Steam\`

I encountered some issues with my Steam, so I decided to reinstall it, and all the problems have been resolved.
