I learnt how to use Krita by watching David Revoy’s YouTube videos and managed to illustrate a graphic novel ready for print. So it was an amazing crash course. But I basically did the whole thing with a line drawing layer and colouring-in layers, which is where I’m at with my skill level. I’ve gone back to youtube tutorials as I want to learn how to properly use masks, filters, how to alter the colour balance, etc., to improve my artwork. I look at other Krita artwork, and I love the finish, but I don’t know how the artist managed it. So I’m joining the forum to improve my knowledge, plus I’ve just moved countries and I don’t know anyone yet so it will be lovely to join an online community of artists.
