I dont know or understand the details but had generally gathered that Samsung make their ranges poor candidates for adaption, so we don’t generally see them being used with other OS’s whereas people seem to say Google Pixel phones are best for de-googling(!) & some Sonys often used.
I’m unsure but interested to see if other brands android tablets are shown to be successful in switching OS while retaining good use of previous android apps

Specs of my S8+ are below, it being arm 64 I guess some kind of Windows Surface or a Chromebook might be a less bad candidate?
I’d love to be able to do some magic flash of the S8 & it can run Linux & emulate (whatever correct phrase may be) android apps, with all touchscreen functions intact but imagine it’s either impossible or 99% likely I’d just brick it

If there is no proven way to flash the device, I would never attempt to flash my device, because it is better to have a device that is not quite as good than a device that is unusable. There are cheaper doorstops than an S8+.
