Love to see others work and opinion tell me what I can improve more

I’d say traditional since it isn’t made with Krita.

Nice nose! I’d like to see the rest of the face.

I need to finish the draw that was just a few minutes of the entire draw

Hi @Hannah_White

Nice nose. I always have trouble making nice noses.

I moved your post out of the lounge and into traditional artwork as this is not done in Krita. We do allow occasional posts in the traditional category but the purpose of this forum is specifically to discuss ways to use the digital painting app Krita and to showcase artwork made in Krita.

Noses are hard because they are so subtle in form and blending… Well done. Keep at it!
I’m primarily a pencil artist but more into digital these days…

Thank and I am sorry I was told but still don’t know what’s going on here or anything

Nice job!
Here are some extra pointers for drawing noses: Drawing the nose
Some of the illustrated examples look a bit exaggerated, but that’s to show you what to watch for. The important thing is to carefully observe your reference.

Keep at it! :+1:

Wow! That’s detailed!

I was once doing a WIP pencil portrait and someone said, nice work on the philtrum…and I went what? what? That’s when I learned what that feature was called.

If you’ve never had a computer I guess the concept of downloading and installing programs may seem foreign. Especially if you are used to web apps that just works in a browser window.

Krita is not that, Krita is an old-fashioned program that needs to be installed on a computer or an Android device.

What you need is a community that doesn’t care which software you use. Krita Artists is specificly for Krita, so posting other stuff here is not sustainable.

Are you familiar with Discord? There’s a server called Art Club that seems to be full of friendly people. There’s a channel called “Critique” that would be perfect for you.

Hi @Hannah_White - great start on a very difficult part of the face!

One of the things that will help you draw better noses is to have some understanding of the nose structure. Your drawing has some indication of structure, you just need to develop it further.

For example, here is a quick layout of some of the shapes and then i shade it in. I draw some lines and arrows to show kind of which direction the skin and lines of the face go.

here are some videos that talk about it in more detail. I would pause these and try to draw along when i watched them, hope you find them useful too!
