@Drawpile is there any way to allow Android’s navigation bar to show if desired? (A toggle or something?)
I use it a lot and dislike having to swipe up from the far bottom in order to be able to use my Back button, Recents button, or Home button.

This is the bar most of the time:

This is it after having to swipe up from very bottom:

(The dot on the far left allows me to hide it when desired, or show it again. In that case, I have to swipe up from the very bottom, so on a device like mine, a Samsung S7 tablet, an app’s hiding the navigation bar is not necessary but for other devices, it might be wanted, a toggle in the settings would be nice.)

@sooz : change this to the proper category if needed. I wasn’t sure if my post should be here or someplace else.

You can exit full-screen mode via the View menu if you really want to. There’s no persistent toggle for it and I don’t really plan on adding one due to how terrible the bar is for drawing, it’s exactly in the spot where your palm will accidentally trigger it. It’s also quite complicated because full-screen mode needs to be entered very early to avoid crazy flickering on startup, and at that time we don’t have access to the settings. So unless having to occasionally swipe from the edge when you need the bar somehow breaks a workflow, I don’t think it’s enough of an argument to put that work into it and deal with bug reports of “I enabled the bar and now Krita closes itself randomly”.

Ok, I just tried that out. I have to keep turning off the full screen mode then. And when I do that, it does flicker.

The accidental closing of Krita because of the back button being triggered is news to me, that’s never happened in my case. :person_shrugging:

Thanks for the tip on the View menu! :+1:
